Sixteen teen girls traveled to Harlem Hospital Center in NYC for a full day of panels and workshops led by experts to foster a better understanding of domestic violence, child abuse and gender based violence, resources, disparate impacts and best practices to assist and counsel victims. The teen academy – a breakout session for teenagers – focused on recognizing the signs of domestic violence and prevention strategies.
